CPRS Ottawa-Gatineau Launches New Mentorship Program – A Professional Springboard for PR Professionals

October 18, 2025

CPRS has been actively listening to the needs of our diverse membership, and we're excited to announce our new six-mentee pilot mentorship program. This program is ideal for early to mid-career communications professionals and recent graduates seeking practical, career-forward support and measurable progress.

This initiative is a direct response to member feedback, as many feel they lack the necessary skills to either begin or pivot their careers, which is particularly challenging in today's environment.

If this sounds like you, apply so we can match you with a mentor whose experience aligns with your goals.

What to expect

Over three months you and your mentor will set a clear primary goal and use a structured goal-tracking template to turn conversations into action; each meeting will end with measurable next steps, deadlines, and a short note so progress is visible and accountable.

How matching works

When you apply we will use the information you provide about career stage, skills you want to develop, and the type of guidance you seek to pair you with a mentor who best suits your professional trajectory.

Why join?

You will gain tailored advice, practical skill building, and a wider professional network.

Follow the link to the Mentee Application Form and complete the form in full so we can match you effectively.
